Kyle is an educator, performer, composer/arranger, and private trumpet instructor based out of Tyler, Texas. He earned his Associates from Tyler Junior College in Music, with a focus in trumpet, and is approaching his graduation from The University of Texas at Tyler, earning a Bachelors in Music Education (Fall 2019). During his collegiate years he has studied trumpet with Micah Bell (Tyler Junior College) and Dr. Jeremy McBain of The University of Texas at Tyler. While at UT Tyler, he was an active performer in the UT Tyler Jazz and Wind ensembles, as well as a variety of ensembles throughout the East Texas area. The University of Texas at Tyler Jazz program provided Kyle opportunities to perform with the likes of Wayne Bergeron, “Blue” Lou Marini, and many other influential artists. Kyle was also a member of The UT Tyler Trumpet ensemble, a featured prelude ensemble at the 2019 International Trumpet Guild convention.

He served on staff for three years with the Robert E. Lee High School marching band (Tyler, Tx) as a music and visual instructor, and is currently on staff with the Mineola ISD Band programs in Mineola, Tx.

Kyle began his drum corps career as a member of the trumpet section in 2015 with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, and aged out in 2017. During the summer of 2017 he served as the Horn Sergeant with the Crossmen . In 2018, following his age-out, Kyle joined the Blue Stars as an intern for the brass and visual staff, and has remained on staff since.

Outside of Drum Corps, Kyle earned his Eagle Scout from the BSA, and has served as President of the Zeta Xi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi (Tyler Junior College) in 2016. He was also named the Basketball Band Director for the University of Texas at Tyler in the 2018 and 2019 collegiate basketball seasons. When he is not teaching, or performing, he enjoys composing, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
