Cora Gilreath
Brass Team
Cora Gilreath (she/her) is a freelance music educator and marching arts designer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She spends part of her time teaching private tuba & euphonium lessons at Loveland and Fossil Ridge High Schools, as well as serving as the Visual Caption Head of the Loveland High School Crimson Regiment, a perennial Colorado State Champion and BOA Regional Medalist. Cora also coordinates shows, writes drill, and choreographs for multiple bands in the Colorado Marching circuit.
During the winter season, Cora serves in the Visual Caption Head and Lead Educator roles at the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble. In addition to her teaching experience with the aforementioned groups, her performance experience as a member of the Phantom Regiment (2013-16) and Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps (2017) keeps her in high demand as an educator of the marching arts.
Cora holds degrees from Iowa State University (B.M. Tuba) and the University of Texas at Austin (M.M. Tuba). Her primary teachers are Christian Carichner, Charles Villarrubia, Steve Vaughn and Benjamin Vasko.
