Harris Named CEO of the Blue Stars

Blue Stars, Performing Arts for Youth, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Bradley Harris to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Harris will succeed Brad Furlano, who was recently named CEO of Drum Corps International.

“We are very fortunate to have someone like Brad Harris in our organization with the leadership ability, experience, and vision necessary to lead the Blue Stars into the future,” said Furlano. “Brad is the right person for the job and will continue the Blue Stars’ tradition of excellence.”

“On behalf of the Blue Stars Board of Directors, we want to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to Brad Furlano,” said Board President Kelli Antoine. “Through his stewardship, the corps returned to DCI World Class and established itself as a consistent finalist. He accomplished this while never losing sight of the member experience or what it truly means to be a Blue Star. The journey wasn’t always easy, but his leadership, advocacy, and ability to build strong collaborative relationships allowed the organization to thrive both competitively and operationally. Those same qualities will serve Drum Corps International well.”

“While no organization is ever truly ready to lose a leader, we are fortunate to have the ideal successor already within our ranks,” Antoine continued. “Brad Harris has dedicated himself to the Blue Stars for many years, most recently serving as Corps Director since 2022. Working alongside Brad Furlano has given him a deep understanding of every aspect of the organization. His talent, passion, and commitment make him exceptionally well-positioned to lead the Blue Stars into the future.”

“I’m incredibly honored and humbled to step into this role,” said Harris. “The Blue Stars organization means so much to so many people, and I am committed to continuing the tradition of excellence, innovation, and member experience that has become the hallmark of this corps. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, volunteers, alumni, supporters, and members as we continue to build on the strong foundation in place.”

During the 2026 season, Furlano will transition into his new role at DCI while Harris assumes increasing leadership responsibilities with the Blue Stars. Both will be fully established in their new positions on September 1, 2026.
