Director - Medical Program

​​Jenna Bookler is a certified, licensed athletic trainer with 9 years of experience in drum corps healthcare. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2014. She furthered her education at San Jose State University with a Master of Arts in Kinesiology.

Jenna started her drum corps career by creating the medical program at the Boston Crusaders in collaboration with Dr. Vivien Tucker. While there, she completed 3 full tours and served as Head Athletic Trainer 2014-2016. In 2017, Jenna transitioned into the role of Medical Program Manager for Spirit of Atlanta. In this role, she oversees a team of medical professionals alongside Dr. C.J. Rolison. Jenna has implemented medical policies and procedures, provides on-call injury consultation for touring clinical staff, and education on health and wellness for members and staff.

Her ongoing passion for medical care in the performing arts influenced her master’s thesis on the patient-clinician relationship in drum corps. Her work was awarded a national grant and was presented at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Convention and the Performing Arts Medicine Association International Symposium.

Aside from drum corps, Jenna has several years’ experience working in collegiate athletics, pediatric sports medicine, and most recently, orthopedics in a clinic setting. She is currently employed as a Clinical Athletic Trainer and is credentialed as an Orthopedic Assistant at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Minnesota.  In addition to clinic, she assists her surgeon in orthopedic surgery.
