Craig Adams is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Band Conducting at Baylor University studying with Dr. Eric Wilson. As a graduate student, his responsibilities include instructing the Golden Wave Marching Band, teaching undergraduate conducting classes, and performing administrative duties for the band programs. He performs in the award-winning Baylor Symphony Orchestra and Baylor Wind Ensemble, and has toured with these ensembles throughout the country, most recently at the 2022 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. 

Craig received a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Instrumental Studies from Baylor. While an undergraduate, Craig served as a mellophone section leader, drum major and administrative assistant for the Golden Wave Marching Band. He performed in several ensembles, served as president of the local music educators association, and was a representative of the Dean’s Student Council. 

Prior to beginning his MM, Craig was the Assistant Director of Bands at Curtis Middle School (Allen, Texas). He led the sub non-varsity band to consecutive UIL Sweepstakes ratings and team taught beginning and intermediate band classes. Craig also co-conducted the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, which was named the 2023 TMEA JH/MS State Honor Orchestra. Additionally, Craig served as a staff assistant to the Allen HS Marching Band. In 2021, the Allen Band was a finalist at the UIL Area E Marching Band Competition. 

Craig is an active educator in the marching arts. He is an alumnus of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and has been a mellophone technician at the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps since 2020.

In 2020, Craig received the Outstanding Music Educator Award from the Baylor School of Music and the Collegiate Music Educator Award from the Texas Music Educators Association. He has served on the executive team of the Young Band Directors of Texas, and maintains professional affiliations with TMEA, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the National Association for Music Education, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
